Excellent service from start to finish. The whole procedure was seamless and painless. Dr. Zaveri and the surgical team did a fantastic job making me feel at ease. If I had more eyes I would definitely do it again.

TP eye care is the best. They take the time to give top notch care. My cataract surgery was flawless. This in spite of the difficulties added due to a previous Lasic procedure. Dr Z took the time to explain the options and procedure. Then when the day came he and his team were fantastic.

I cannot say enough about Dr. Maulik Zavei's expertise and skill in conducting my cataract surgeries. I recently underwent surgery for both of my eyes, and Dr. Zavei conducted an excellent job, even in the presence of complications from my prior surgeries. Despite my complicated case where my left eye had a previous retina detachment, Dr. Zavei conducted meticulous testing and surgery with the utmost precision. And the result? My left eye is now functioning better than before, with an amazing +0.75 compared to the previous -7.0!

Dr. Zavei also performed an excellent cataract surgery on my right eye, and I am astonished at the results. I can now see close to a 20/20 vision, and I can finally say goodbye to my long-distance glasses. The level of care he provided was exceptional, and I feel like a new person.

Dr. Zaveri is not only one of the best Opthamalogist but one heck of a surgeon.

My cataracts were a little complicated but he made the surgery look like a piece of cake. Now I have almost a 20/20 vision for distance.

He has excellent bed side manners on making the patient feel at ease and explains the patient in layman terms the whole procedure which gave me the confidence to proceed with surgery.

His staff is equally caring and very friendly.

Dr. Maulik Zaveri has been thr ophthalmologist for my lens replacement (cataract) surgery. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. First, he took two hours of his time to clearly explain all the options available to me. I was extremely myopic with some astigmatism and some cataracts. I was sent to a retina specialist to ensure the retina was healthy. My refraction and astigmatism and we’re checked on three separate dates to ensure they had the most accurate measurements. The surgical staff at North Coast Surgery Center were wonderful! Throughout the entire process, Dr. Zaveri was available to me via text and he even called several times to see how I was doing. He has performed thousands of cataract surgeries and I knew I was in very skilled hands with a very caring doctor. I now see better than I ever have - incredible clarity. I highly recommend Dr. Zaveri and Torrey Pines Eye Care.

It was a collaborative and consultative experience resulting in a great outcome for me. Dr Zaveri ensures that you understand all of the facts and options available. I would add that this type of investment is one in which you want to understand everything you can to ensure the best possible outcome. I had both eyes done (45 days apart) and decided on options that allowed me to receive exactly what I was looking for in terms of distance and close up vision with outstanding clarity.

An unfortunate medical situation led me to an introduction to Dr. Zaveri of Torrey Pines Eye Care. During the four months I have been under his care, I have experienced attentiveness to care as never before. From the first entrance into the office I was met with a genuine interest in assuring I was informed of all procedures to be performed. In their sensing the level of my anxiety, their calmness was reassuring that the best outcome for me was their top priority. During consultations with Dr. Zaveri I was never made to feel he was in a hurry; he in minute detail explained the challenges I was facing and the options available to best correct them. Friends who have had surgery similar to mine have been amazed at the level of preparation for surgery and follow up which I have experienced and which so differed from theirs. Today, a mere week after corrective surgery, I am amazed at the brightness of color, the beauty of the sky and the joy returning to my life thanks to the care of Dr. Zaveri and the entire Staff.

Dr. Zaveri instilled confidence the moment I met him. He described the cataract surgery procedure to me in detail. I personally called me a couple of days before the surgery to see if I had any questions, comments, or concerns, and he told me exactly what to expect. Great health care experience.

Dr. Zaveri performed my cataract surgeries (one eye at a time) two years ago. The surgeries were quick and painless. My resulting distance vision is 20/20 in both eyes. I get 20/20 close-up vision by using cheap off-the-shelf reader glasses. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Last week, I needed to have a common laser surgery to fine-tune my vision. The YAG laser encapsulotomy surgery was painless and it took less than 10 minutes.

I can tell that Dr. Zaveri and his staff are very concerned about their patients. Dr. Zaveri took his time with me to ask specific questions about my vision and overall health. I never felt rushed out of his office. It’s especially nice to find a doctor who is willing to take his time to get to know his patient and to do things carefully.

I was also impressed with his modern and thorough examination equipment. He was able to accurately examine my lenses, retina and the rest of my eyes and then show me his findings on his computer screen. It was fascinating and informative. I felt like I was fully informed and I was very comfortable with following Dr. Zaveri’s surgery and treatment recommendations.

In general, I am extremely pleased with Dr. Zaveri’s care before, during and after my surgeries.

Exceptional Doctor and Team. I was referred to Dr. Zavery at Torrey Pines Eye Care following invasive surgery for a retina tear that later led to a cataract. Initially, I was advised to wear glasses, and the clinic's staff provided excellent assistance with this. However, as the cataract progressed, the glasses became ineffective. Despite my complex eye history, which includes previous laser correction and emergency surgeries, Dr. Zavery thoroughly explained all my options and successfully performed the cataract surgery, selecting the perfect implant. Thanks to his expertise, my vision is now sharp and clear, and I anticipate it will remain so for another 50 - 70years to come. Dr. Zavery is extremely professional and highly recommended.

As a health care professional i know how busy our practices can be. Dr.Zaveri on the other hand will take whatever time is needed to examine and test your eyes and most importantly he takes the time to answer your questions. In the last month, Dr Zavari removed cataracts from both of my eyes, did an incision to correct my astigmatism and implanted new monofocal lenses. I still need glasses at times, but that was my choice because I like to wear glasses. On the other hand, I will be able to pass the DMV vision test without glasses, which is what I really cared about. The severe halos I was experiencing when I drove at night have nearly resolved. I am extremely happy with these results.

But I was even happier with the care I received from Dr. Zaveri and everyone at Torrey Pines Eye Care. In a time when one frequently feels like a number in the medical system, the personalized care one receives at Torrey Pines Eye Care is exceptional. They checked and rechecked my ocular measurements to make sure that I didn't have another problem to explain my decreased vision and also to make sure that the corrections they planned to make were appropriate. Dr. Zaveri patiently explained my options and willingly answered questions.
Lisa and other support people at TPEC are well trained, helpful and respectful. When you call with a question, they check with Dr. Zavari if they do not know the answer. They reconfirm appointments and once, when Dr. Zaveri was running behind, they called to see if I could arrive a little later than scheduled.
I have also been a patient of Dr Zaver's partner, Dr Bainter, for many years and find her to be a caring and skillful clinician.
One more thing, the parking lot at Torrey Pines Eye Care charges for parking, but if you bring your license plate number to the reception desk they can provide a QR code that covers the cost of parking....

My husband had cataract surgery with Dr. Zaveri and we could not be more pleased. From our first visit he spent ample time with us to discuss all our options. My experience with Torrey Pines Eye Care and in particular Dr Zaveri have truly been outstanding.
He performed a robotic lens replacement on my right eye and had to work in close consultative harmony with the surgeon who had performed a prior retina surgery. Not only did he spend significant time explaining the procedure, the various lens choices and respective pros and cons of each, but it was clear from the very start, that he was intimate with my retina condition and its nuances, and was planning to take all the necessary precaution to ensure a highly successful outcome.

My surgery was on a Friday morning, my first post-op visit the same afternoon, and he spoke with me regularly during the weekend to ensure that I wasn't experiencing any undue discomfort, or had any concerns.
I am now almost a month out from surgery, with a great result, in total alignment with his and my expectation.

I have been going here for almost 3 years now. Everyone here is very professional, kind, and caring. They tell you what they are doing and why during the exams. I just had one eye surgery to remove a cataract, and my doctor was fantastic at explaining the process and making sure I was comfortable throughout. I love the follow-up calls to check on me as well.
