What is Macular Degeneration?

There are two main types of macular degeneration:

Dry Macular Degeneration (Non-neovascular): This is the most common type and typically progresses slowly, making early symptoms harder to notice. Treatment often involves specialized vision aids, and specific vitamins and supplements (AREDS/AREDS2 formulations) tailored to your needs.
